What a request should include

Identify the protected work, the exact LookMovie URL or asset at issue, the rights you believe are affected and the action requested. State whether you are the owner or an authorized representative and provide a reliable way to contact you. If only one image, sentence or mark is disputed, identify that element rather than naming the entire website.

Include a good-faith statement that the challenged use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or applicable law, and that the information supplied is accurate. A typed signature or other appropriate confirmation of authority may be required. Do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents beyond what is reasonably necessary.

Review and response

We may ask for clarification when URLs, authority or requested action are ambiguous. A catalog title, factual release detail or reference to a movie name is different from hosting the underlying movie. The review therefore considers the actual material on the identified page.

When a request is sufficiently specific, possible actions include correcting attribution, replacing artwork, limiting indexation or removing the affected material. A counter-notice or further information may be appropriate where rights or authorization are disputed. Fraudulent or materially misleading notices can cause harm and may have legal consequences.
